Brighten your spirits!

Fashion for me is not about following the latest trend but wearing colours and styles that brighten ones spirits revealing more about the individual. I love creative design whether new, in my wardrobe or found in a vintage, nearly new or charity shop.  The colours and styles that I choose to wear reflect the mode I am in at the time. I find green to be healing, red is worn when I feel passionate and assertive and pink is such a strong communication colour. Colours are connected to energy chakras which I find fascinating and revealing in oneself and in others. For more information on this visit www.chakra-anatomy.com/.

As well as loving the changes that happen to the seasons and landscape when autumn and winter swing round, I also love the changes that can be adapted to my wardrobe. There is something so comforting in wrapping up warm in beautifully knits and pulling on a winter coat when the temperature begins to dips.

However the colder months don’t mean you have to sacrifice looking effortlessly stylish. Whether you’re looking to stay cosy indoors or you want to add a touch of glamour for the forthcoming festive party season, my favourite places to shop have some real hidden gems waiting in the wings.

Joules has no shortage of beautiful knitwear but this ruby pink jumper is a favourite for a casual look. However knitwear needn’t just be for the day time. Add a little sparkle with this beautiful pink wool jumper from Boden.

Although I love the idea of crisp cold winters, the reality in Scotland is more than likely to involve a lot of rain. However Boden has also nailed fabulous footwear to ensure you’re feet not only stay dry but also look great. These wellington boots are a winner and will brighten up any dreich day!

Nothing beats a new winter coat and this gorgeous oversized cape from Toast made from Italian wool is guaranteed to keep you warm and make you stand out from the crowd for all the right reasons.

This time of year also calls for glamour and sequins. I have fallen head of over heels with this beautiful lace red dress from Reiss which is guaranteed to turn heads. Or if you want something with sequins then Hobbs has the answer in the shape of this full length maxi dress, which is both elegant and timeless and a must have for any wardrobe, allowing you to feel fabulous in an instant.

The final compliment to any outfit  must be the perfect pair of shoes to reflect the type of outfit worn. These elegant shoes from Clarks would certainly be perfect for forthcoming Christmas outings and dancing the night away!
